Ingram Micro ITAD Earns ADISA Certification in the UK
October 27, 2017
Irvine, Calif. – October 27, 2017
The Ingram Micro ITAD UK Processing Center, located in Manchester, has recently completed the certification process with the Asset Disposal and Information Security Alliance (ADISA). ADISA reports that the facility passed its inaugural audit with distinction.
ADISA is focused on the business processes surrounding end-of-life for Information Technology and Communications equipment, specifically in the area of data security. The standards are updated regularly, with a recent focus on GDPR compliance.
The ADISA standard for IT Asset Disposal was launched in 2010 and is based on a risk assessment approach to the ITAD process, with particular emphasis from point of collection to the moment when data has been erased/destroyed.
ADISA standards measure over 200 separate criteria. As part of certification, companies who provide asset recovery and data sanitization are subject to unannounced audits that include forensic testing, which makes ADISA members the most heavily and regularly scrutinized companies in the ITAD sector.
Ingram Micro ITAD is proud of our team in the UK for the attention to our established processes and guidelines that enabled them to not only pass their audit but to pass it with distinction.
