January has been a strong month for us coming out of our 2016 peak season. We focused on developing and implementing changes to our platform that would best impact our customers based off of what we learned during peak.
Here’s a recap of the changes coming to the Shipwire Platform:
- Container API: The Container API enables merchants and retailers with Shipwire Anywhere or dropship vendor locations to enter and manage shipping container and boxes across their network. An example use case of this new API is once a retailer enters the box information for their vendor, the Shipwire platform’s optimized packing logic can choose the right box size and provide accurate shipping rates.
- Shipwire Status Subscription Preferences: We have enabled the ability to subscribe to specific alerts pertinent to your business through our status.shipwire.com page. You can follow instructions to update or subscribe here.
- 24/5 Customer Care: Our Customer Care team is now providing network-wide customer support, 24 hours/5 days a week (Monday-Friday, PST) for issues related to all North American, European and Asia-Pacific facilities. Learn more about our new service.
- Purchase Order Posted Webhook: Due to asynchronous processing (which happens after the server has responded with an acknowledgement), Fulfillment Order information under our Purchase Order API response is often incomplete. Our “po.posted” webhook alleviates this problem by sending out post-processed information of the Purchase Order after all associated fulfillment orders have gone through rigorous checkpoints, ensuring accurate fulfillment processing.
